Zack Carlson went to be with Jesus on June 26, 2022, after a lengthy, well fought battle against Glioblastoma brain cancer. His family was by his side. His passing leaves a hole in our world, but those he touched everywhere he went remain a testament to his kind and strong soul.
Zackery Edwin Carlson was born December 16,1984 to Leo and Connie Carlson. He joined a sister and brother and was such a joy to this family.
Zack is well known for his calm and friendly demeanor as he never met a stranger. He had a huge heart and would help anyone with anything. In his younger years, he worked in fast food, restaurants, and sanitary companies. He had a list of clients who he washed out semis for mostly at night even in the freezing cold. Zack assisted rebuilding motors with his brother, Dennis Hutton, and Frank Leskovec. He was a good carpenter and did custom jobs, he also painted buildings and he did a myriad of other things. An incredibly talented artist and artisan, Zack did many of his own tattoos and could explain each in detail. He made beautiful jewelry and beaded keychains and would do custom paint jobs on the models his steady hands would put together.
Zack’s favorite thing to do was make people laugh and for them to be happy. He didn’t like conflict of any kind and did everything to avoid it. Zack’s quirky smile, his witty sense of humor, and his gentle soul will be dearly missed.
Zack was preceded in death by his father, Leo Carlson; grandparents, Russell and Neva Bonsell and Gerald and Eileen Carlson; and aunts, uncles and cousins.
Zack is survived by his loving family, including mother and stepfather, Connie and Douglas Yates; siblings, Valerie (Gary) Kyle and Dennie (Becky) Hutton; daughters, Marissa Turnage and Miana Carlson; nephews, Anthony Hutton and Jacob Kyle; nieces Jamie (Jesse), Jessie (Troy), Cassey (Trapper); great nephews (7) and great nieces (4), and many cousins. All the children adored him.
A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held at 11:00 AM, September 10, 2022, at Orchard Valley Community Center, 2111 South 1st AVE in Cheyenne.
