Rest easy beautiful woman. You gave us life and taught us right from wrong. Your life had so much hardship and yet you managed to remain compassionate, generous, and selfless. You taught us so many things including “respect begins with yourself.” Mom, we are saddened by your passing yet we rejoice in your memory. We will miss speaking with you. We will miss you at our gatherings. I will miss your wisdom and your smile. We continue to live up to our residual expectations of ourselves; we continue the legacy you passed to us as knowledge and understanding of the world around us. We continue the legacy of faith in our God and ourselves. A legacy that has shown us we do not require humiliation of others to realize our importance in the eyes of God and the universe. All we need to do is be! And be because we too know compassion, generosity, and humility and do not fear to show those around us this legacy of your teaching. I love you mother, your pain, your sacrifice, your love made us whole. We continue, we unite in celebrating the life you have given in order to give life to us, your family.
