Wilma Louise Burkett, 81, went to be with the Lord on January 28, 2016 at her home in Cheyenne with her family.
She was born to Melvin and Dora May Breazeale on March 26, 1934 in Endicott, Nebraska. She moved to Cheyenne with her family as a child. She married Robert E. Burkett in 1958. They have been through many travels together as a Navy family. She worked hard all of her life, her last job was as a cook at Laramie County Community College for 20 years.
She is survived by her husband; children, Carol Nelson and Richard D. Burkett, both of Cheyenne; three grandchildren, Richard W. Burkett and Vanessa Wells, both of Cheyenne, and Shannon Moore of Reno, Nevada; seven great-grandchildren; siblings, Billy Breazeale of Cheyenne, David (Lois) Breazeale of Maricopa, Arizona, Danny (Darla) Breazeale of Ritzville, Washington, Malva Hall of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, Candace Breazeale of Puyallup, Washington, and Randy (Teri) Breazeale of Grants Pass, Oregon; in-laws, Lafe Burkett of Lake Jackson, Texas, Rosella Breazeale of Cheyenne, Marge Buchanan of Olean, New York, and Sally Burkett of Derrick City, Pennsylvania and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Robert Burkett, Jr.; son-in-law, Terry Nelson; siblings, Shirley Steele, Mervin Breazeale, Colleen Bigalow; in-laws, Dick Burkett, Howard Burkett and Mary Gould.
A Celebration of her life will be Saturday, Feb. 6th at 11:00 a.m. at the Salvation Army Church with Corps Sgt. Major Jim Webber officiating.

Cremation has taken place at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.
