On December 10, 2020, William “Bill” P. Curran Jr. passed away peacefully at home surround by his loved ones. He traded in his lifetime fishing license to fulfill his heavenly one and fish for all eternity. He was born on December 5, 1931, in Cheyenne, WY at Fort D.A. Russell and had just celebrated his 89th birthday. Bill lived a long, full life.
He was the best he could be at whatever he did, and he did a lot. He was a Korean War veteran who proudly served in the United States Navy, a master electrician who operated his own electrical company at one time, owned an antique store, was the Pastor of River of Life Fellowship, was a handy man and was always fixing or restoring something, and of course, he was an avid fisherman.
He is survived by: his loving wife of 66 years, Barbara Curran; his sister, Cecelia “Cissy” Connor; his children Michael (Jeannette) Curran, Peggy (Ken) Kenyon, and Pat Curran; his grandchildren, Chris (Mary) Kenyon, Amanda (David) Harrison, Sarah (David) Hamilton, Michael John (Gina) Curran, Rebecca (James) Marcy, Kenneth Kenyon, and Charity Kenyon; numerous great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by: his father, William “Mickey” Curran; mother, Luella Vance; step- father, Donald P. Vance; sister, Luella “Dolly” Shenefelt; daughter, Linda Curran; grandson, Jason Kenyon; and various other relatives.
Cremation has taken place and there will be no services at this time.
I’ve finished life’s chores assigned to me,
So point me to the stream that flows free
Please send along my fishing pole
For I’ve been invited to the fishin’ hole.
Where every day is a day to fish,
To fill your heart with every wish.
Don’t worry, or feel sad for me,
I’m fishin’ with the Master of the sea.
We will miss each other for a while,
But you will come and bring your smile.
That won’t be long you will see,
Till we’re together you and me.
To all of those that think of me,
Be happy as I go out to sea.
If others wonder why I’m missin’
Just tell ’em I’ve gone fishin’
