William L. Morrison, 88, of Cheyenne, died Sunday, April 26, 2015 at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center.
He was born in Carr, Colorado, a son of Clifford R. and Myrtle (Smith) Morrison. William attended schools in Carr graduating from Carr High School. He moved to Cheyenne in 1957. He married Norma J. Basinger on October 4, 1968 in Cheyenne.
William was employed as a Bus Driver for Greyhound Bus Lines. Upon his retirement he delivered meals for Meals on Wheels for several years.
He enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing and traveling.
Survivors include his wife, Norma of Cheyenne; a son, William L. (Lizabeth) Morrison Jr., of Cheyenne; two daughters, Mary Jane (Rollie) Tatum of Cheyenne; Sandra (Ricky) Halbrook of Gillette; a step-son, David Allen (Alice) Lesser of Alliance, Nebraska; six grandchildren Chad Morrison, Janel Bruner, Mendi Tatum, Andy Tatum, all of Cheyenne; Ricky and Eric Halbrook of Gillette; a sister, Viva Long of Cheyenne; and 10 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a granddaughter, Keri Gillen; a step-daughter, Deborah Wiemer; and five brothers.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, May 1st at 2:00 p.m. at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel. Interment will follow at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.
Casket Bearers will be Ryan Bruner, Abagail Bruner, Isabelle Bruner, Hunter Horton, Chad Morrison and Ricky Halbrook II. Honorary Bearers will be Andy Tatum, Janel Bruner, Mendi Tatum, Andy Tatum and Eric Halbrook.
