William (Bill) T. McDuffie, 66, of Cheyenne, WY, passed away at Davis Hospice Center on March 29 in Cheyenne. He was born to Orville and Marie McDuffie on November 4, 1950 in Englewood, NJ. William lived in Grinnell, IA before moving to Cheyenne, WY. He married Grace E. Poole in Pinedale in 1987. William received two degrees; a Bachelor’s of Physiology and a Bachelor of Chemistry. He was working with Wenco Windows in Iowa, when he transferred to help with the creation of the new plant in Cheyenne, WY. He also worked for the United States Post office while living in Cheyenne. Bill’s hobbies included history book reading, camping, fly fishing, hiking, and backpacking. He also was intrigued with computer strategy war games, foreign films and documentaries, and walking in the park every day, feeding the squirrels. Left to cherish his memory is his wife; Grace McDuffie of Cheyenne, WY, his son; Justin David McDuffie and his wife Nicole Landau and one grandson; Alexander McDuffie, all of Fort Collins, CO, 2 sisters; Laureen McDuffie of Des Moines, IA and Janice McDuffie of Buffalo, NY. A memorial is planned for June 2nd at the Peace Gardens located north of the Botanic Gardens from 1:00 PM to 3:00PM. There will be bench dedication purchased by the family from the Botanic Gardens in memory of William (Bill).
