William “Kim” Kimura, 66, of Wheatland, unexpectedly passed away on December 9, 2022, in Wheatland.
He was born on December 6, 1956, in West Chester, Pennsylvania to George K. Kimura and Beatrice I. (Stewart) Kimura.
He served in the Air Force for four years. He spent most of his working career at Basin Electric Power Co-Op Laramie River Station. He worked in the Warehouse for many years and later became the Warehouse Supervisor. When the decision was made to build a new warehouse at LRS he was excited to have the opportunity to share in the design of the building and the needs of the facility. When all was complete, he decided his job was done and decided to retire in March of 2017.
In 1985 he met the love of his life, Deborah Holomon and they were married August 5, 1989. Together they raised a blended family of 5 children. As the family grew, he enjoyed going to the lake to ski and play and set up backyard pools every summer for the little ones. He loved animals and was always the beloved family pet’s favorite person.
How do you summarize someone’s life in just a paragraph or two without missing anything? Kim tackled projects inside and outside the home. He enjoyed family gatherings, going to car shows and different events with the Classical Glass Corvette Club. He recently completed a replica of the Titanic and enjoyed building and flying RC airplanes. He was an amazing father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Kim took great pride in his corvettes but even more so his family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Deborah Kimura; brother, Brian Kimura; children, Jason Kimura, John and Jeramie Dike, Cynthia and Christopher Holomon; grandchildren, Ashley, Christian, Kody, Dalton and Skylar Dike, Madison, Nova, and Cassius Holomon; great grandchildren, Chloe, Anthem, Logan and Dean Dike, Brody and Lucas Sishc.
Kim was preceded in death by his parents, and brother-in-law William “Bill” Garcia.
A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 5, 2023, in Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel.
