William H. Holmes, Sr., 83, of Cheyenne, died Monday, November 10, 2014 at Kindred Transitional
Care Center.
He was born December 3, 1930 in Cheyenne. He attended schools in Cheyenne, graduating from Cheyenne high School. He served in the U.S. Navy following high school. William was employed as a carpenter.
Mr. Holmes was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, hiking and just spending time in the outdoors.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Holmes, of Cheyenne; five sons, Tim Holmes of Arco, Idaho; Bill Holmes, Jr., Francis Holmes, Jon Holmes and Joe Holmes, all of Cheyenne; four daughters, Tami Tindall of Crossville, Tennessee; Marian Madigan, Janel Tiley and Diana Wallace all of Cheyenne; twelve grandchildren; ten great grandchildren and a brother, Richard Holmes of Marion, Montana.
Vigil and Rosary will be recited on Friday, November 14, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel. Funeral Liturgy will be Saturday, November 15th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Cathedral. Interment of his urn will take place at a later date.
Memorial Contributions may be made in William’s name to the Alzheimer’s Foundation.
