William “Bill” Anthony Hamlin died Tuesday, April 30, 2024 in Cheyenne, WY at 93. He was born to Harris and Marjorie (Hall) Hamlin on April 27, 1931 in Casper, Wyoming. After graduating high school, Bill enlisted in the US Army. For the majority of his service, he was stationed in England where he met and married his wife of 56 years, Ann Daughty.
Bill was always a hard worker and retired from Little America Refinery where he worked for 25 years, the last 15 as a welder. He loved the Big Horn Mountains outside of Arminto, WY, where he spent much of his youth. He enjoyed music, fishing at Alcova and Pathfinder, hunting, driving the roads of Wyoming and viewing wildlife. He loved traveling the western United States, going to car and motorcycle shows and races, and attending auctions all with his wife, Ann.
In later years, he enjoyed coffee, people watching, and tinkering in his garage. He was amazingly fit, lived independently, and shoveled his own walk into his 90s. He was always a proud patriot, displaying several American flags at his house.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Ann and sister, Diane (Jack) Bynum; children, Howard Hamlin, Lesley Osen(Shawn), and Rob Hamlin (Sarah); grandson, Chaz Osen (Amanda); and great grandson, Carter Osen.
No service is planned at this time.
