William “Bill” Powell, 56, of Cheyenne died December 10th at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center.
He was born July 14, 1960 in Cheyenne.
Bill was a carpenter by trade, but moreover he was an inventive tinkerer and an imaginative builder; a craftsman whose creations knew no bounds. He was also an accomplished artist and an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding horses and gold mining in Alaska.
He is survived by his two children, Jeremy Tuck of Cheyenne and Samantha Powell of Concord, California; granddaughter, Kali Powell of Concord, California; mother, Elizabeth Lanier of Cheyenne; two siblings, Mark Powell of Kenai, Alaska and Lisa Eckles of Parker, Colorado.
He was preceded by his father, Robert Powell and step-father, Dr. Robert Lanier.
Life Commemoration Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., this Thursday at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel. A Memorial in Bill's honor will be held at the Kiwanis Community House in Lion's Park directly following the Service.
Cremation has taken place at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.
