William Robert “Bill” Keadle, 83, of Cheyenne died Monday, July 21, 2014 enjoying the Snowy Range Mountains with family.
He was born October 17, 1930 in Tiltonsville, Ohio and had lived here since 1948.
Bill served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict.
He was an avid sports enthusiast, loved golfing and enjoyed bowling, fishing, hunting, camping, riding motorcycles and collecting cavalry artifacts.
He was one of the founding directors of the Buffalo Ridge swimming pool, coached little league, was active in cub scouts with his sons, and played on the Methodist Church softball team.
Bill is survived by his wife, Betty (Brown) Keadle of Cheyenne; four children, Darlene (Fred) Heil of Cheyenne, William “Butch” (Danette) Keadle, of Laramie, Rebecca (Kim) Lewis of Windsor, Colorado and Bradd Keadle of Windsor; brother, Phillip Keadle; two sisters, Jean Swartz and Esther Hartshorn; five grandchildren, Connie Trowbridge, Scott Heil, Kirsten Keadle, Cody and Weston Lewis; and four great-grandchildren, Nathan, Lexi, Sheridan and Colton.
He was preceded by his parents, John E. and Myrtle Keadle; three brothers, Roger, John, and George Keadle and two sisters, Mary and Joanne Keadle.
Commemoration of life services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday at Sunnyside Baptist Church with a Reception to celebrate his wonderful life immediately thereafter.
Cremation has taken place at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.
