Wendell Jackson

February 28, 1971 — December 16, 2022

Wendell Jackson of Cheyenne WY passed away December 16, 2022 at the age of 51, while hospitalized at the Cheyenne Regional Medical Center.
Wendell was born in Cheyenne on February 28, 1971 to Mr. Wendell Jackson Sr. and Mrs. Alice M Carter.
Wendell would tell you that he attended the college of life and always attempted to score high marks by loving strong, giving selflessly to friends and family, while dealing with life's moments.
Wendell was a get-it-done quickly, kind of person that absolutely loved knowledge. He was rated at genius level in school and read more books than anyone I have ever met.
He was a helpful and kind spirit that would pitch in to do anything that needed to be done and he always did it well. He could fix anything from electronics to creating amazing leather goods. He had a love for creating items and making things work that simply did not work.
Wendell was 100% dedicated to anything that he undertook. He was a protector of family and friends to the point that he would lose to help you win.
The smile that Wendell wore could brighten the world and would bring happiness to anyone that was around.
He could see the good in any person even if they had disdain for him. The loving attitude of my little brother was a spirit that was so strong it felt like a hug even if he didn’t hug you.
Wendell is survived by his mother, Alice and stepfather Dennis Carter. His father, Wendell Sr. and stepmother Verna Fay Jackson. His sisters, Dionne Jordan of Tampa FL and Karen Clatt of Orlando Florida.
Wendell was proceeded in death by his grandparents Fern and Fritz Tucker, Vera and JVan Jackson Sr., his sister Tonya Jackson, four aunts – Pearl, Crystal, Starr and Gwenellyn and one Uncle Vernell Jackson.
He lived his life by his own terms, never allowing anyone to change him. He will be greatly missed.

Celebration of Life to be held February 28, 2023, 5-7 pm at the Kiwanis Community House, 4603 Lion’s Park Drive, Cheyenne Wy 82001
