Wayne N. Fernandez

October 26, 1961 — May 8, 2019

Wayne Fernandez joined his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 after a short illness. Wayne left many he loved behind his wife and love of his life, Gloria Fernandez; his son, Wayne Fernandez Jr.; his grandchildren, Alexander, Donavin, Jazmin, Isabel, and Nathaniel Fernandez; and parents, Ruth Haselhuhn and Rudy Fernandez.
Wayne dedicated most of his career in service to our military by working as a Tractor Operator Supervisor on the grounds crew at F.E. Warren Air Force Base since 1992. Since 2005 Wayne worked with a company that employs disabled adults, Skil'kin. Wayne loved helping others learn, grow, and obtain their goals by teaching them life skills as well as personal skills.

Wayne was kind, caring, compassionate and very funny. He enjoyed camping/RVing with his wife and fur-babies. He enjoyed playing basketball with his grandkids, and loved football talk with his son Wayne Jr. Wayne was passionate about his music, animals, the Raiders football team (He was the Raiders' number one fan), classic cars and most of all his family. He loved his canine fur-babies. He always thought about others first, especially his wife. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, especially his co-workers, family and fur-babies.

Wayne is now reunited in his heavenly home with his brothers, Jimmy John Fernandez, Kenneth Lee Fernandez, and Calvin Richard Fernandez.

Please join us at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. to celebrate Wayne. There will be a reception following the services.
