Walter H. Niles, III

Walter H. Niles, III, 77, of Pine Bluffs, Wyoming, unexpectedly passed away at home due to heart issues. Walt was born in Aurora, Illinois on February 22, 1947, to Walter H. Jr. and Geneveive Niles,

Walt “Wally” was a graduate of Newark High School, Joliet Junior College and Eastern Washington State College where he was an outstanding basketball player. After college he taught school in Rockton, Illinois, while farming, raising, and showing registered Duroc hogs. After moving to Wyoming, he managed and Arabian horse ranch in Pinedale and guided elk hunts in the Rocky Mountains.

He was survived by his brothers, Barry (Nancy) and Richard (Rhoda); son, Brad Forsyth; granddaughters, Kaedyn and Kamryn Forsyth.

Walt was preceded in death by his parents Walter and Geneveive Niles.

A Celebration of life will be held at the Helmar Lutheran Church (11935 Lisbon Road, Newark, IL 60541) on February 9, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
