Virginia J. (Eden) Wadleigh, 95 of Cheyenne passed away peacefully on October 12, 2017 at Davis Hospice Center. She was born March 5, 1922 in Kimball County Nebraska to Lillian (Albrecht) and Walter Eden. Virginia attended District 5 country school before graduating Kimball High School and later attended Union College in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Virginia moved to Cheyenne in 1942 where she began her working career with the Veteran’s Administration then United Airlines. Soon after, she started with the Wyoming Department of Education as a layout technician retiring after 30 years of service.
Skating was a passion beginning in her childhood days throughout her life, transcending through three generations. Virginia also enjoyed ballroom dancing, Broadway Theater and spending time with family and her beloved pets.
Virginia was a member of Mizpah Chapter No. 36 O.E.S. ultimately ascending to Worthy Matron. Her other volunteer pursuits included X-JWC and Girl Scouts of America.
Virginia was kind and polite to everyone she met and took pride in always looking her best. She was an elegant woman who will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
Virginia was preceded in death by her mother, father, brother and infant son.
Survivors include her daughters Janet Levesque, Lori (Pat) Nichols, grandchildren; Michelle, Megan, and Brian, great grandchild Kelsey, great great grandchild, Sylis.
Services will be at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel on October 18th at 10AM. Burial will follow in Kimball, Nebraska.
