Virginia Arellano, age 81, passed peacefully in her home, on Wednesday December 2,2020.
She was born March 28,1939 in Rawlins, WY to Joe & Katherine Bustos. Virginia was the beloved wife and best friend friend to her husband of 35 years James Arellano.
She was a faithful mother and devoted grandmother. Virginia was always outgoing. She attended catholic school and carried that strong faith with her throughout her life. Virginia enjoyed coaching softball, cooking, bowling, crocheting, sewing and at one point she even taught a cooking class. She also loved to gamble. Her favorite place to be was in the mountains in her camper. She loved fishing and was always the one who caught the biggest fish. She absolutely loved to be surrounded by family and friends and always made sure to call and check on everyone no matter how she was feeling.
The past few years Virginia was bound to her home. She was blessed with her side-kick of a granddaughter, Xyia, who snuggled her and helped her out with all of her needs. Virginia was survived by her husband James Arellano. Brothers; Robert (Betty) Bustos, Richard (Dolores) Bustos, David(Rita) Bustos, Children; Tony Herrera, Annette (Steve) Tanner, Grandchildren; Candace Tanner, Amber (Justin) Martinez, Valerie (Joe) Lascano, Marcos Munoz, Michael (Nicole) Herrera, Johnny (Jewell) Herrera, Janea Herrera. Great grandchildren; Elias Martinez & Eva Tanner, Xyia & Coda Martinez, Braxton & Landon Lascano, Michael , Lillian, Destiny Sellmer, Adrian & Bellamy Herrera, Johnny & Jaylynn Herrera. Special nieces; Diane, Renee & Leslie.
Virginia was preceded in death by her children Michael Herrera, Gloria Herrera, Johnny Ray Herrera. Parents Joe & Katherine Bustos. Siblings Richard & Tony Bustos. Niece Jasmine Montoya. First husband and the father of her children Nio Herrera and numerous cousins. Virginia will always hold a special place in the hearts of those who knew her.
