Virgil Boyd, Jr., 80, of Cheyenne died Tuesday, November 18, 2014 in Cheyenne.
He was born July 19, 1934 in Charleston, South Carolina and had lived here for the past 2 ½ years with prior residence in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Virgil retired from the United States Air Force serving during Vietnam.
He enjoyed spending time with great-grandchildren, family and friends, being outdoors, fishing and writing, watching movies, and listening to music.
Virgil is survived by his wife, Barbara Boyd; two sons, Ed (Sarah) Boyd and Jack (Shari) Boyd, all of Cheyenne; three daughters, Teri (Kimm) Klitzke of Cheyenne, Elizabeth (Timothy) Meister of Casper and Nina (Mike) Kaegbein of Cheyenne; two brothers, Charles and Dennis Boyd, both of Charleston and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday at St. Andrew’s Anglican Church with Fr. Timothy G. Davies officiating.
Cremation has taken place at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.
