Viola Martinez, 86, of Cheyenne, joined the angels in heaven on July 14, 2015.
She was born in Rock Springs on October 20, 1928.
Her favorite things included; reading, garage sailing, bingo, puzzles, Central City, and especially her daily oatmeal cookie and Coca-Cola. In addition to being an amazing spouse, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she was also the center of our family. Her memory will continue to live on with her children, Alfred Jr. (Linda) Martinez, Predy Ramirez, Lloyd (Michelle) Martinez, Kathy Martinez, Frank Martinez, Virginia DeLaGarza, Margaret (John) Chavez and Eva Martinez.
She also leaves fourteen grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Viola will be met at the gates by her parents; husband, Alfred Martinez; son, George Martinez; brother, Benny Jiroz; granddaughter, Melissa Hernandez and great-grandson, Gavin Sigward-Cook.
She passed away peacefully at home in her favorite color purple surrounded by family and friends. Viola will be loved and missed by many.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel.
