Vincent Orlando Maes, 80, died peacefully in Arkansas Hospice on April 7, 2019. He retired from the United States Air Force as a Major in 1984 and was instrumental in developing the Titan II Missile Display at The Jacksonville Military Museum (Jacksonville, Arkansas) which he volunteered at for several years.
Vince was born on April 5, 1939 in Las Vegas, NM to Vincente and Ernestine Maes. He graduated from Cheyenne High in 1958 and Colorado State College in 1962. In 1963, he joined the Air Force and spent his career focused on the Titan and Minuteman defense systems.
He is survived by his wife, Diane; sister, Anna-Mae (Harold) Snedker; brother, Robert; daughters, Teresa (Jim) Beman and Lori (Brian) Bonn; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Vincente and Ernestine Maes; brothers, Stephen and Samuel; and sister, Theresa (Joe) Griego.
Vigil for the Deceased will be Friday, 6:00 p.m., at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel. Funeral Liturgy will be Saturday, 10:00 a.m., at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, with burial immediately following at Olivet Cemetery. A luncheon will follow the burial.
