Veloise (Val) E. Kuhnke, 91, of Cheyenne, passed at Sierra Hills surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 21, 1932, Iola, Wisconsin to Claude and Irma (Pommerening) Sweetalla.
Val was a homemaker, in addition to being employed at the Zwicker’s Knitting Mill, Appleton, Wisconsin for 20 plus years and the Country Buffet, Appleton, Wisconsin for 15 years. She was a resident of Appleton, Wisconsin until her husband’s passing in 2010 at which time she relocated to Cheyenne to be near her daughters. Her hobby was bowling, which she did until the age of 84.
She is survived by her daughters, Susan (Frank) Rocha and Vera Kuhnke, both of Cheyenne; sister, Betty Krenke; and brother, Gary (Madeline) Sweetalla, both reside in Wisconsin.
Val was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Ronald V. Kuhnke; brothers, Eugene, Gerald, Delvin, Darwin, Claude Jr. Sweetalla; and sister, Mariette Dineen.
A memorial service will be held back in Wisconsin at a later date
