USAF SSgt Meghan Lisa Gable passed away on Friday, March 3, 2017, at the age of 25.
Meghan was born July 29, 1991 in Casper, Wyoming, to Roger and Michelle Gable. She was the youngest of two children; USAF SSgt Evan Gable being her older brother. At 17, Meghan joined the United States Air Force and served overseas in both Japan and England for five years. She transferred to Wyoming Air National Guard to pursue a double major in public health and communication disorders at the University of Wyoming in Laramie. Meghan’s goal was to become an audiologist while quietly taking over the world. She was engaged to be married to Sheeley Andrew Gilbert.
She is survived by her parents, her brother, her sister-in-law Heather, her nephew Nathan, and her niece Liliana. She was much beloved by her extended family of Gables, Hursts, and Reynolds.
A celebration of her life will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, March 18, at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel in Cheyenne, Wyoming.
Meghan was active in supporting young veterans and was determined to ensure their success in transitioning to life after service.
