Trevor Bertella, 26, of Cheyenne, passed away on October 12, 2024. He was born November 27, 1997, to Marti Wilcox. Trevor had an enormous love for sports. He grew up playing competitive baseball for the Cheyenne All Stars, boxing at the Cheyenne Boxing Club and playing football for Johnson Junior High and South High School. He absolutely loved going to the Wyoming football games with his grandpa, where, after the games, they would play football on the field until they turned the lights off. Over the past few years, his happy place was fishing and four wheeling with his dad and dogs, and painting for Abstract Painting WYO. He had the greatest sense of humor and could make anyone laugh, even when they didn’t want to. His smile was infectious and when he laughed, he laughed so hard. Even though he was bounded by his personal struggles, recently he found happiness in handing out little ducks to random people and reminding them to “Keep their ducks in a row.”
He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Bruce Krug.
He is survived by his parents, Shane and Marti Wilcox; his girlfriend, Jade Lovelady; grandparents, Marg and Ken Dunlap, and Karol Krug; uncles, Bart (Greg) Krug, Shane (Missy) Burrell; aunts, Kristyn Burrell, April (Jared) Burt, Crystal (Erik) Sanguinito; cousins, Daniel, Brittanii, Jennii, Tommy, Austin, Brendon, Caley and Carson.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
