Timothy (Tim) Stanley Downare, 82, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, died Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center with family by his side. A graveside-only Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, April 22, 2022, at LaGrange Cemetery (LaGrange, Wyoming).
Tim was born in Englewood, Colorado on July 21, 1939, to Phillip and Esther Downare. He was the last surviving sibling of six children. Preceding him in death were Vaughn, Alethea, Richard, Azenith and Lorna.
Tim married Myra Nicks on January 28, 1956. The couple enjoyed raising their four children: Christy, Cathy, Tim and Kimberly in Denver, Colorado, the mountains of Littleton, Colorado and LaGrange, Wyoming.
Tim was an equipment operator and skilled craftsman. He used his gifts making a living and serving others. He spent several years on staff at Frontier School of the Bible in LaGrange building and maintaining their facilities and as a private contractor. His Cheyenne neighbors remember him fondly as a kind, wonderful man who was always willing to lend a hand and was heartbroken over the loss of his beloved wife in 2017.
Tim is survived by his children, Christy (Mark) Marshall of LaGrange, Wyoming, Cathy (Dan) Johnson of Scottsbluff, Nebraska, Tim (Elizabeth) Downare of Buffalo, Wyoming and Kimberly (Tadd) Bishop of Fairbanks, Alaska; his grandchildren, Kyle (Kristin) Marshall, Kenny (Christina) Marshall, Brandon Marshall, Missy (Dave) Schroeder, Deanna (David) Norby, T.J. (Michaela) Downare, Alicia (Caleb) Cohoon, Sydney and Cassie Downare, Danielle (Travis) Woodward, Courtney (Nate) Classen and Mariah Koester; and his twenty-one beautiful great-grandchildren.
A viewing will be held Tuesday and Wednesday (04/19/2022, 04/20/2022) at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel from 10-4:00 p.m. A Graveside Service will be Friday, April 22, at 3:00 p.m. at La Grange Cemetery.
