Thressa Mae Rowe

Thressa “Terry” Mae Rowe died peacefully in Papillion, Nebraska on Dec. 29, 2019 at the age of 93.
Thressa is survived by her son Frank Rowe and wife Susan and step-son Keith Rowe and his wife Joy Carol, along with her 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband John E. Rowe, her son Albert E. Rowe, step-son John E. Rowe.
Thressa was born on February 27, 1926 in Circleville, Ohio. She was raised by Henry and Ester Luke. She married John E. Rowe on June 17 in 1947. She worked her entire life in retail, retiring from Sears. She volunteered countless hours to her beloved organizations.
Formally a long time resident of Lincoln, NE, Thressa moved to Cheyenne Wyoming with her husband in 1969 until 2018 when she returned to Nebraska to be close to family.
Thressa was a generous, witty, dedicated woman who loved all that came into her life. She was an active and dedicated member both in Lincoln and Cheyenne to the Eastern Star, Daughters of the Nile, American Legion Auxiliary. A 75 year member Zeta Tau Alfa Sorority. A member of East Lincoln Christian Church and then the First Christian Church of Cheyenne. Terry was known for going to the beauty shop, community outings, rooting on her Ohio Buckeyes. Terry was a true lover of life and was a bright spot in our lives.
A funeral is scheduled for Jan. 4th at First Christian Church Disciple of Christ in Cheyenne at 9: 30 AM. Interment will follow at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.with a reception to follow back at the church. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Thressa's life. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Cheyenne Shrine Club-Hospital Travel Fund or First Christian Church of Cheyenne.
What a beautiful life she made! She was one in a million and will be sorely missed by all that loved her.
