Thomas Ladd Currence, 69, of Cheyenne, died on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at the Cheyenne Regional Medical Center.
He was born on January 5, 1947 in Cheyenne and had lived here all of his life.
Tom served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and was a member of V.F.W. Post 1881, American Legion Post 6, and AmVets. He retired as a master mechanic from Reiman Corporation and Mechanical Systems, Inc. Tom loved camping, fishing, the outdoors, and John Wayne movies.
He is survived by his wife, Rachel Currence; a son, Sean Currence; two daughters, Shelly Lewis and Melissa Ellis (Mike); stepsons, Joey Tapia (Victoria) and Christopher Tapia (Kelly); two sisters, Terry Reda (Ralph) whom is his twin sister, and Midge McCartney; and ten grandchildren, Courtney and Whitney Lewis, Miles Currence, Aaron Ellis, and Molly, Joseph, Michael, Elijah, Angelina, and Josh Tapia.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd, Sr. and Edna Currence; and three brothers, Lloyd, Jr., Earl, and Richard.
Services will be Tuesday, 2:00 p.m., at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel.
Cremation will follow at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.
