Terry Ray “Heck” Gies, of Cheyenne, passed away April 27th, following his long battle with cancer.
He was born July 5, 1965 to Thelma and Rayman Gies.
Terry leaves behind his daughter, Ashlie Fahrer (Brett); longtime girlfriend, Chantelle Behrmann; her son, Kayne McFadden; his dog, Ladie; siblings, Nancy Prince (Gavin), Laurie Ihm, and Cody Ihm (Sandra); two grandchildren; aunt, Bonnie Rice (Galen); uncle, Jack MacConnaha (Teri) and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Aaron Gies and Roni Muhlenbruck, and his dogs, Sandy and Petie.
Terry was a legendary roofer in Cheyenne, having worked for many of the local roofing companies. The last 22 years he worked for Residential Roofing. Terry’s high roofing standards and strong work ethic earned him respect in Cheyenne. He was often requested by name for complex roofing. His intelligence, lightning quick wit, dry humor, can-do spirit, and big heart will be missed.
Celebrate his life and share stories, Saturday, May 11th, 10:00 a.m., Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel with a reception to follow at The Gathering Place. If you have Carhartt wear it (you know he would love that).
