Susan Mary Wininger, 64, of Cheyenne passed away at Davis Hospice Center on July 19, 2016.
Susan was born March 5, 1952 in Arnold, NE the first child of Lyle Robert Biggerstaff and Joan Elizabeth (Karn) Biggerstaff. She married her soul mate of 44 years on April 7, 2011, Clifford (Jack) Wininger.
She grew up in North Platte, NE before moving to Cheyenne at the age of 16 in 1967. She lived the remainder of her life in Cheyenne. She played softball in North Platte and Cheyenne, fiercely defending 3rd base.
In Cheyenne, Susan attended and graduated from St. Mary’s Catholic School as well as Laramie County Community College. She worked as a medical transcriptionist at Memorial Hospital, Clinical Labs in Cheyenne and for Dr. Lanier. She tremendously enjoyed her work.
Susan was a Wyoming Cowboys fan, holding season tickets for football and basketball and rarely missed a game. She was also a fan of Cheyenne Frontier Days, the Denver Broncos and Nebraska Cornhuskers.
Family and friends will remember her loving and positive approach to life and all those she met. She was caring, family oriented and always smiling. She had a strong love of family, all babies, the changing of the colors in the fall and traveling. Her most recent travels included South Carolina and Alabama. She was an avid reader, collector of antiques and enjoyed art.
Susan is survived by her husband, Jack Wininger and her beloved dachshund “Ladybug”. Sister Julie (Tim) Bolin of Cheyenne, WY; Brother Mike Biggerstaff of Wellington, CO, and twin brothers Nick and Dick (Peggy) Biggerstaff of Cheyenne.
Additional survivors include her mother-in-law, Glee Wininger of Cheyenne; Sisters-In-Law Judy Wininger, Vickie Albert, Susan Hermann, Kay Brown and Meloney Biggerstaff. Brothers-In- Laws Bill (Mary) Wininger, Richard (Peggy) Wininger. Susan is survived by many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
She was proceeded in death by her parents Lyle and Joan Biggerstaff; Brother-In-Laws, Steve Wininger, Dan Brown and Buck Albert; Father-In-Law, Clifford Wininger Sr.
In lieu of followers, please make donations to the St. Mary’s School Foundation in Cheyenne Wyoming. Vigil for the deceased will be held on Sunday July 24th at 7pm at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel. Funeral Liturgy will be Monday July 25th at St Mary’s Cathedral Church at 10:30am. Burial will follow at Olivet Cemetery. Online family condolences can be made to
