Susan Fay Tipton, 71, died September 7, 2014 in Fort Collins after a brief and courageous battle with cancer.
She was born January 9, 1943 in Cheyenne to Leroy and Pauline (Hardung) Dudley. She worked as a District Field Analyst for the Union Pacific Railroad. She lived in Cheyenne for most of her life, working briefly in Omaha before retiring to Cheyenne permanently in 1999. She was an avid seamstress, sewing beautiful quilts, drapes, coats, and other items for friends and family. She was also talented in crochet and embroidery. She was skilled with all power tools, remodeling her own home in her spare time. She was passionate about dogs, especially her own. She enjoyed acting, and was an active member of the Cheyenne Little Theater Players. She is remembered for her huge heart, willing to do anything for anyone.
She is survived by her son, Kelly Tipton; daughter Marilyn Franzen; grandchildren Kelsey, Michelle, and Hailey Franzen; and brother Greg Dudley.
She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter Jennifer S. Tipton.
Memorial Services will occur Friday at 10:00 a.m. at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel.
