Steven Ray Romero, 21, of Cheyenne, passed away January 18, 2020, at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center. Steven was born April 7, 1998 in Cheyenne to Theresa Romero.
Steven was born and raised in Cheyenne where he found amazing friends. He attended South High School. That is where he joined R.O.T.C and was an outstanding drill team cadet. He graduated from south as a cadet in 2016. Steven also had another talent he loved and that was playing guitar. He also loved to go fishing with his mom at Granite.
Steven is survived by his mother, Theresa; grandmother, Rose Romero; godmother and aunt, Sandra Cuccia; uncles, Clarence and James Romero; cousins, Ron (Angela) Romero, Angela (Shane) Rhoades, Audrey (Kyle) Ross, April Romero, Alex Romero, Anthony Romero and numerous other family members.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Fabian Romero and godfather and uncle, John Cuccia.
Vigil for the deceased will be 6:00 p.m., Thursday, at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel.
Funeral Liturgy will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Olivet Cemetery.
