Steven Todd Abeyta, 57, of Cheyenne, passed away at his home on March 10, 2021. He was born in Rawlins, Wyoming on March 10, 1964 to Joseph Abeyta and Helen (Trujillo) Munoz.
He grew up in Cheyenne and attended High School Three. Steven has never been afraid to work, started at 17, and from 1987-1992 he drove truck and in 1992 he stopped working to be home with his sons and to start the concrete trade. And in 2004 he started Abeyta & Sons Concrete and became a master mason.
Steven loved to go fishing, camping, and ride his Harley, but his true love in life were his children and family. Spending holidays and birthdays were extremely important to Steven when it came to his children. When the whole family could get together it would light up his world, the cherry on top would be to show off his karaoke talents.
He is survived by his mother, Helen (Roy) Munoz; sons, Chad, and Daniel Abeyta; daughter, Alyssa Martinez; brothers, Vincent (Hope) Abeyta, Ernest (Christina) Abeyta, and Troy Abeyta; sister, Theresa (Joseph) Hernandez, Joyce Trujillo, and Linda Abeyta; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In Steven's search for answers he was blessed to find companionship and love in his last love and sweetheart, Diane Guerrero. They loved each other and spent their time doing things they both enjoyed. They mostly loved being with their fur babies, Chico their pup and Blanca their cat.
Steven was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Abeyta; brother, Joseph (baby Joey) Abeyta, Jr. and grandparents Patrick and Ascension Trujillo and Alfred and Mary Abeyta.
Vigil for the deceased will be held at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, in Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel. Funeral Liturgy will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, at St. Mary's Cathedral. Interment will take place following the service at Olivet Cemetery.
