Shirley Jean Williams, 82, of Cheyenne, died Friday, May 1, 2015 at Cheyenne Health Care Center.
She was born January 28, 1933 in Buhl, Idaho to George and Helen Marie (Jordan) Depew.
Shirley lived in Salt Lake City, Utah where she was employed as an operator for Mountain Bell Telephone Company. She moved to Cheyenne 3 years ago to be near her daughter.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She belonged to Telcom Pioneers of America. And among her hobbies were sewing, knitting and crocheting. She also enjoyed reading Reminisce magazine.
Survivors include a daughter, Cara Vredenburg of Cheyenne; a sister, Leanne Woods of Pueblo, Colorado; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband George Williams; her father, George Depew; her mother, Helen Marie Holderman; a daughter, Renee Purdue; and a brother, Donald Depew.
There will be a Life Commemoration Service on Thursday, May 7, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel.
