Shirley Elaine Lambert, 89, of Cheyenne, died July 15 at Davis Hospice Center.
She was born August 1, 1926 in Cheyenne and was a third generation Wyoming native, an administrator for the Federal Housing Administration, and a
member of the Order of the Easter Star in Laramie. Shirley enjoyed gardening, playing the piano and organ, playing cribbage and spending time with her family.
Shirley was a homemaker extraordinaire, teaching her children life skills and exuded a positive attitude in all she did. She was known for her wonderful pies and enjoyed sharing with all she knew.
She is survived by her three children, Elaine (Harry) Schafer of Moore, Oklahoma, Gail (Keith) Braisted of Laramie and Kent (Jan) Lambert of Cheyenne; seven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Shirley was preceded by her husband, Owen Lambert; parents, Irwin and Goldie Yeager and a brother, Vernon Yeager.
Cremation has taken place at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.
