Shirley Jean Keedwell, 80, of Cheyenne, died on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at the Davis Hospice Center.
She was born on September 21, 1934 in Kansas City, Missouri and lived most of her life in Independence, Missouri, graduating from William Chrisman High School in 1952. She worked in nursing for 25 years at the Regional Hospital in Independence before moving to Cheyenne in 1998. Shirley was a member of the Methodist church.
She is survived by three daughters, Cynthia Cochrane (Lance) of Los Osos, California, Rebecca Dunne (Churck) of Richland, Missouri, and Lodema Klimt of Cheyenne; a son, Ted Painter (Debbie) of Independence; a sister, Donna Harris (Burl) of Newburg, Missouri; seven grandchildren; and many loving family members and friends.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Ted Scherer and Esther Rucker; and a sister, Lodema Scherer.
Cremation has taken place at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens under the direction of Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel.
Graveside services will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery in Independence.
