Shirley Mae Hollenbeck, 79 of Cheyenne, WY, passed away on September 29, 2019 at Seven Lakes Memory Care, Loveland, CO after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s. She was born February 15, 1940 in Riverton, WY, daughter of John and Katherine Blumenshine. She was married for nearly 58 years to Andrew Hollenbeck. Shirley worked for 36 years with Andy in his construction companies as an office manager. Additionally, she was a devoted wife and mother, and was engaged in the community. She enjoyed a variety of activities, including fishing, snowmobiling, bowling, gardening, and playing the piano. However, her favorite pastimes were spending time in the mountains and socializing with friends and family. Shirley is survived by her husband Andrew Hollenbeck, daughters; Julia D. Vanek, Janice K. Hollenbeck, Heidi J. Hollenbeck, and Carol S. Hollenbeck, along with five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Shirley is preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers; Herman and Leonard Blumenshine. Services will be held at 10am at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel on Saturday October 5th followed by interment of the urn at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens with reception at the AMVETS Post 10.
