Sherrie Lee Thresher

June 20, 1948 — September 4, 2020

Sherrie Lee (Simpson) Thresher, age 72, born in Concord, NH went home to be with the Lord on September 4, 2020 surrounded by family, after a courageous 10- year battle with metastatic breast cancer. Sherrie is survived by her daughters, Donna Thresher (Ludo Roche), Barbara Willett (Chad Willett) and grandchildren-Ty, Braydan, and Morgan; whom she cherished with all her heart.
She was a graduate of Orford High School, Orford, NH class of ’66. And was a long-time resident of Newbury, VT before moving to Cheyenne, WY in 2006. Sherrie was an active member of Grace United Methodist Church here in Cheyenne. She enjoyed reading daily bible devotions and the local newspaper, knitting, quilting, and especially spending time with friends and family. Her favorite bible verse was Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.”
She is preceded in death by her parents Grover and Ruby Simpson, and survived by two sisters, Janet Trefren (Chuck Trefren) and Gail Simpson, along with many nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, September 10 at 2pm Mountain Time at Wiederspahn-Radomsky in Cheyenne, Wy. The service will also be webcasted live at www.wrcfuneral.com and can also be viewed after.
Immediately after the funeral, please join the family to continue celebrating Sherrie’s life at the Gathering Place from 3-5pm MT across from Wiederspahn-Radomsky.
A Graveside Memorial Service will be held at a later date in Concord, NH at Maple Grove Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Wyoming Breast Cancer Initiative or Davis Hospice Center of Cheyenne, WY.
