On Tuesday, October 13, 2020, Sharron Lee (Wetzler) Liebe, loving mother, grandmother and wife passed away at age 77. Sharron was born March 8, 1943 in Denver, CO to James and Juanita (Sitzman) Wetzler. Sharron married Winfried “Fred” Liebe August 19 1962. They raised two daughters, Heidi Ann and Diane.
Sharron lived in Denver CO, Fort Collins CO, Farson WY, but mostly Cheyenne WY. She attended McCormick Jr High and Central High school, graduating in 1961. She attended the University of Wyoming where she met Fred. She loved to say she chased Fred until he caught her. They married the next fall. Fred was drafted into the US Army and stationed in Berlin Germany. Sharron had the great fortune to accompany him to Germany for nearly three years.
Sharron waited until both daughters were of school age when she enrolled into the apprenticeship with Cheyenne Plumber and Pipefitters Union Local 192. She completed the apprenticeship and became one of Wyoming’s first female Pipefitters. She worked as a Pipefitter until she retired. Sharron was a member of the Order of Eastern Star Mizpah #36, the Cheyenne Moose Lodge #257, and the American Legion Post 6.
Sharron was a musician, artist and seamstress. She painted or drew many subjects and sceneries in which she entered into the Laramie County Fair where she won many ribbons. Sharron loved to sing and play guitar, read, listen to her daughter play piano and sit on the front porch with her dog.
Sharron was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 58 years, Fred Liebe, her father James Wetzler, her mother Juanita Wetzler and her daughter Heidi Ann Kimsey. She is survived by her daughter Diane (Devin) Smith, brother Jim (Donna) Wetzler of Fort Collins CO, and grandchildren Kyle Smith, Tyler Kimsey and Michaela Kimsey.
Services will be held 7 November 2020, at 1000 AM in a joint service with her husband Fred Liebe at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes. Donations can be made in her name to the Cheyenne Animal Shelter or Davis Hospice center.
