Shari Lee Farrar, 79, passed away peacefully, February 24th at her home in Hillsdale with her family by her side.
She was born Sept. 12, 1938 to Walter and Cleo Beavis of Libertyville, Illinois.
In 1958, she married the love of her life, Clint. They homesteaded in Hillsdale, a landmark for all family and friends to gather.
Shari retired as postmaster of Hillsdale at the age of 76. She was an avid bridge player for over 50 years. Her greatest joys in life were spending time with her family. She was a dedicated supporter of her children and grandchildren's sports, seldom missing an event.
Shari is survived by her husband, Clint Farrar; two daughters, Melaine Kwedor and Laurie(Randy) Jackson; five grandchildren, Ricky (Alexis) Kwedor, Chase Kwedor, Chelsea (Deron) Jackson, Wyatt and Cole Jackson; and 5 great-grandchildren, Conner and Braden Kwedor, Lukas, Karson and Kenzlie Jackson, along with numerous nieces and nephews who all had a special place in her home and heart.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Benita Jording and a son-in-law, Rick Kwedor.
Services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday at the Hillsdale United Methodist Church with Pastor Gracie Marske officiating.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Hillsdale United Methodist Church.
