Saundra Louise Cole, 82, passed away August 8th at Lifecare of Cheyenne surrounded by her loving family. She was born May 27th, 1942, to Roy William (Duke) Tibbetts II and Mae Louise (Benson) Tibbetts. Saundra started her working career at her grandmother’s diner across from the old airport terminal. After graduating from Cheyenne High School in 1960, she worked at Cheyenne Federal Savings and Loan. She became a stay-at-home mom after the birth of her three children. Saundra eventually went back to work at various banks in Cheyenne before going to work at Laramie County School District #1 as an administrative assistant at Carey Junior High School in the 7th grade office. During her 13 years in the school district, she worked the gates at East High football games for many seasons. She retired after a 13-year career helping students and staff be successful. Saundra bowled at the 2 Bar Bowl for most of her adult life. She also enjoyed playing golf, pinochle, and Bunco. Saundra played a mean game of Cribbage, which she passed down to her three children. Saundra was a past member of the Cheyenne Jaycees and was also a member of the Airport Golf Course. Saundra is survived by her two sons, Scott Lee Cole (Jamie), and James Lee Cole (Lorraine); son-in-law, Bob Yale; grandchildren, Bobby, Haley, Kati, Kathleen, Rachael; and two great grand Children, Jace and Sage. She is also survived by six siblings, one aunt, and numerous nieces and nephews. Saundra was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Lee Cole; daughter, Patricia; parents; and her brothers, Roy and Bobby. A Viewing will be Thursday from 10-4:00 p.m., at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel. Services will be Friday, August 16th, at 2 P.M. at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel, with a reception to follow at Uncle Charlie’s Bar and Grill from 4-6.
