Sandra Margaret Smith, 75, of Cheyenne passed away at home
on February 11,2018. She was born into this world on October 11, 1942,
in Laurel Montana, to: Clarence James Whitfield and Margaret Wanner.
Being the eldest in a rather large family of 8 children, she became
fond of family life. Growing-up in Laurel;and graduating; from Laurel
High in 1960.
She started her family as soon as she could; on the East
coast, then moved to Cheyenne Wyoming, in 1972; with her husband:
Terry John Smith and 5 children. Working many occupations in her life;
including: hand-made custom draperies, and interior
decorating for: JC Penny's.
In: 1985, Sandra, and her family; moved to: Juneau Alaska,
where they lived for 20 years; both working for the State. Sandra
was a versatile artist; sculpting, oil painting, gardening, and:
cooking. Her extra curricular interests included: mystery novels,
classic film, music.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years (Terry John
Smith) 4 sons: Lauren C, Kevin E, Jason B, Terry James (Jake);
and 1 daughter: Theresa Ann from Pensicola Fla; 8 grandchildren; and:
6 great-grandchildren. Sibilings: Ted Rohling (Melanie), Sharon Mohr,
Mary, Jim, and Becky Whitfield.
Life Commemoration services will be 5:00 p.m., Wednesday at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel.
Cremation has taken place at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.
