Sandra Jean Lubbers was born Sandra Jean Pier, the oldest of four children born to Phyllis and Harvey Pier. She spent much of her life in Wyoming and will be laid to rest in Laramie.
Sandy was a wild spirit with so much love in her heart. Sandy was married five times (twice to her third husband), and was blessed with three children, Robert, Richard, and Belinda, although she had only the opportunity to raise Belinda.
She had three granddaughters, Jennifer Prano, Jessica Britton, and Dana Grove-Thompson, three great-grandchildren Johnavon, Sage and Ember. Sandy welcomed people into her family and home unconditionally. The loss felt by her absence will stretch far beyond the everyday concept of family.
She is survived by her brother, Robert Pier and his wife Barbara of Laramie, her sister Regenia Ochoa of Cheyenne, her daughter Belinda White of Cheyenne, and her granddaughters Jennifer Prano, Jessica Britton, and Dan Grove-Thompson as well as two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by both parents, her brother Fried Pier, her sons Robert and Richard Lubbers, and her great-grandson Johnavon.
Sandy was a bright light that shined on those around her, bringing a smile to their face with her silly laugh and playful shenanigans. Sandy was always up for an adventure and enjoyed when her granddaughters would give her a wacky hairdo or filter. She loved laughing with her sister, and she adored children, especially babies. She loved Harry Potter and Supernatural, watching wrestling and football with her family and friends, and her cat Rocky.
There will never be another like her and we will remember her always.
