Ruth McBride, 94, of Cheyenne, passed away on June 8, 2017 at the Davis Hospice Center.
Ruth was born on August 17, 1922 in Huntley, Nebraska, to Frank and Ola Brown. She lived through the Great Depression, the Dust Bowl of the 1930’s, and WWII. She married John McBride in June of 1945 after his service in Europe with the U.S. Army Air Force.
After her three sons were older she went to work outside the home, eventually for the Wyoming Department of Agriculture where she retired in 1987. She enjoyed lunch and visits with her friends and family. Ruth was proudly independent, until recently living in the home she and John bought in 1950. She was also a fan of Wyoming sports, the Denver Broncos, and the Colorado Rockies.
Ruth is survived by her sons, Steve (Sue), Tom, and Jim; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband and all her siblings.
Services will be Tuesday, 2:00 p.m., at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel.
Interment will follow in Beth El Cemetery.
