Rudy H. Martinez

Rudy H. Martinez, 74, of Cheyenne passed away Oct. 20.
Rudy was born Aug. 14, 1944, in Greeley, Colo., to Pete and Angie Martinez.
He married the love of his life, Dorothy, on July 18, 1964. They spent 54 wonderful years together.
He retired in 2014 from LCSD1 as head custodian. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing and camping, working in his yard and his Broncos.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; son, Anthony (LaShay) Martinez; his daughter, Cynthia (Israel) Romero, both of Cheyenne; mother, Angie Martinez; brother, Robert (Theresa) Martinez; sisters, Virginia Chavez of Denver, and Lenora Munoz and Sally Vigil, both of Cheyenne; grandsons, Dominick (Breezi), Nicholias and Zachariah Espinoza; granddaughters, Adrianna (Linda) and Taylor Martinez, and Jasmine Harris; and great-grandchildren, Corbin Espinoza, Aliyah Martinez, Michael Nierling, and Zavier and Avayla Harris.
He was preceded in death by his father, Pete Martinez.
He was greatly loved and will be greatly missed by many.
A vigil for the deceased will be at 4 p.m. Thursday at St. Joseph’s Cathedral. Funeral liturgy will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph’s Cathedral.
