Ruby P. Peterson

Ruby P. Peterson, 98, of Cheyenne, went to be with our Lord on January 17, 2020.
Ruby was born December 19, 1921 in Mariposa, California to Charles and Nora Zimmerman.
On May 7, 1940 she married James Campbell who had moved from Nebraska to work in the California gold mines; shortly after their marriage they returned to Nebraska where they spent the rest of their married life.
They had two daughters, Saralee and Sandra. In 1978, after Jim’s death Ruby moved to Cheyenne.
On March 30, 1996 she married Kenneth Peterson, they lived in Cheyenne where they enjoyed 24 years of marriage.
She was a devoted and loving wife and mother. She adored her grandsons and great-grandchildren. Ruby loved golf and being with family.
She is survived by her husband Kenneth, daughter Sandra (David) Hammond, five grandsons, Mike, Steve and Eric Weber, Troy and Todd Hammond and 12 great-grandchildren.
Ruby was preceded in death by her first husband James Campbell, daughter Saralee Weber, son-in-law Elmer Weber, parents Charles and Nora Zimmerman, three brothers< Melvin, Tommy and Johnnie Zimmerman, and three sisters, Thelma Garlet, Deanie Wallace and LaVern Zimmerman
She will be forever missed by all those who knew and loved her.
