In the late 1950’s Roy attended Auctioneer school in Montana. He became an excellent auctioneer and auctioned at many venues, including Holmes Auction, at farm sales, storage sales and fundraisers.

He enjoyed riding horses and was involved with the Cassia County Sheriff’s Posse in Burley Idaho and the Cheyenne Saddle Tramps. Camping and Attending family reunions at the City of Rocks in Idaho
Were favorite times.

After a lengthy illness with brain cancer, his beloved wife, Betty passed away in May of 1982 at the age of 50.
