Rosie J. Gallegos

Rosie J. Gallegos, 96, of Cheyenne, passed away on March 30, 2021 in her home. She was born on August 3, 1924, in Dodge City, Kansas, to Pete and Mary Jimenez.

After Rosie was born her family moved to Lamar, Colorado, and this is where she grew up.
On April 12, 1947 she married the love of her life Raymond in Raton, New Mexico. After the marriage they started their family having two sons. Rosie stayed home with the children and was the there for all their accomplishments.

Rosie moved to Cheyenne in 2000 and has been a resident here since then.

She is survived by her sons, Rudolph R. (Lupe) Gallegos, of Wellington and Robert (Christine) Gallegos, of Grand Junction; brother, Robert (Carol) Jimenez; grandchildren, Leslie (Curtis) Burch, Scott (Holly) Gallegos, Adam Gallegos, and Evan Gallegos; great-grandchildren, Marisa, Curtis, Jr., Jaelyn, Elysandra, Jessica, Lily, Bryson, and Adelyn; great-great-grandchildren, Luka and Lily Roux and numerous family members.

Rosie was preceded in death by her parents; siblings Joyce Gomez, Phyllis Sena, Richard Jimenez, Paul Jimenez, and Lena Ramirez; grandson, Christopher Michael Gallegos; granddaughter, Jessica Gallegos-Torres.

Rosary will be held at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, in Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel. Funeral Liturgy will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Burial at Olivet Cemetery will take place immediately following the service. Reception to follow and will be announced at the service.
