On Saturday, June 13th, 2020, Rosie Kylander passed away peacefully at her home.
Rosemary “Rosie” (O’Brien) Kylander was born on November 2nd, 1950, in Cheyenne, Wyoming to Philip and Julia (Hall) O’Brien. She graduated from St. Mary’s Catholic High School in 1969, and she received her Associate of Arts and Sciences Degree in 1971 from Laramie County Community College. She married Jed Kylander in 1973 and moved to Longmont, Colorado where their children were all born: Rozann in 1974, Jed in 1978, and Jared in 1980. Rosie and Jed moved back to Cheyenne in 1993.
Rosie loved being a Mom and spending time with her family. She enjoyed traveling and taking family road trips with the camp trailer every summer.
Rosie provided in-home daycare for 20+ years in both Longmont and Cheyenne. It gave her much joy watching all her different babies grow and being a part of so many families' lives.
Rosie had a strong faith, which helped guide her in her daily life.
Rosie was a voracious reader and was a member of book clubs in both Longmont and Cheyenne. She always had a book started and more waiting to be read.
Rosie loved music-mostly rock and roll. It started with the Beatles and, more recently, her favorites were Aerosmith and Bon Jovi.
Rosie was preceded in death by her parents Philip and Julia O’Brien and her sister-in-law Valerie O'Brien.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Jed Kylander; her daughter, Rozann Goodrich (Chad Diesing) and grandsons Kaycee and Brody; her son Jed (Teri) Kylander and grandchildren Ella and Evan; her son Jared (Amber) Kylander and grandchildren Kash and McKinlee; her brother Bill O’Brien, niece Brittany Lozano, and her children Caden and Nikki; and sister-in-law Sue (Dennis) Pratt.
