Rosemary Faye Jones, 80, of Cheyenne, died on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at the Davis Hospice Center.
She was born on May 17, 1934 in Red Fern, South Dakota and had lived here for 45 years.
Mrs. Jones worked at Burlington Northern Sante Fe Railroad, where she met many lifelong friends. She later worked for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife where she was very involved in wildlife preservation. She was an integral part of the wolf reintroduction into Wyoming. She enjoyed gardening, golf, and traveling. When Rosemary traveled, she traveled, having visited Australia, Scotland, Ireland, Fiji, Canada, England, and many other countries.
She is survived by a daughter, Kelley Norman (Trevor) of Cheyenne; a brother, Don Kelley of Hill City, South Dakota; a sister, Sandy Crider (Dick) of Las Vegas, Nevada; four grandchildren, Alex Norman, Zach Mowry (Brittany), Carsen Mowry, and Tayte Hannawald, all of Cheyenne; and two great-grandchildren, Dorian and Alina, both of Cheyenne.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary M. Nelson and Charles L. Kelley; and a brother, Darry L. Kelley.
Services will be Monday, 2:00 p.m., at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel.
Interment will be Tuesday, 1:00 p.m., at the Hill City Cemetery in Hill City, South Dakota.
