Rose Marie Moede, 98, of Cheyenne, died on Friday, September 4, 2015 in Cheyenne.
She was born on August 29, 1917 in Chicago, Illinois.
Mrs. Moede attended the Metropolitan Business College before working at United Airlines, and in 1947 she transferred to Cheyenne. She eventually became a secretary at the State of Wyoming Department of Agriculture and retired in August of 1981.
She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and reading. Rose was a long time member of the Cheyenne Garden Club.
Mrs. Moede is survived by her son, Dan Moede of Cheyenne; nieces and nephews, Lloyd Komendant (Joan) of Sequim, Washington; David Zahradnik (Kitty) of Smith, Nevada; Amy Jones (Alan) of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, Don Burwell (Barb) of Kearney, Nebraska, Lyle Burwell (Linda) of Atlanta, Kansas, Linda Covey (Gary) of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Verdena Springer of Richmond, Kansas, J. Spaulding of Loveland, Colorado, Jill (Denny) Bakken of Wheatland, Wyoming, and Janice Workman of Laramie, Wyoming; a variety of great and great-great nieces and nephews; and her dog, Megyn.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Moede on April 27, 1952; her parents, Charles and Mary (Cerney) Zahradnik; a brother, Chuck Zahradnik; and a sister, Bettie Komendant.
Life Commemoration services will be Monday, 11:00 a.m., at Grace United Methodist Church, 2950 Spruce Drive. Rose's favorite color was blue. All attending are encouraged to wear something blue in her honor.
