Rosa Monzon, 74, of Cheyenne, went home to be with the Lord on September 5th, 2020, surrounded by family after a courageous battle with cancer.
Rosa was born September 29, 1945 in Camagüey, Cuba.
Rosa was an inspiration to all who were in her presence. She was always joyful because she was filled with the love of Jesus. She lived to serve God and family, and in doing that, she became a vivid example of what it means to walk with Christ. Rosa enjoyed her friends, worshipping God, and Bible studies at her church, Iglesia Bautista Emmanuel. Her favorite Bible verse was Joshua 1:9, “Be strong and courageous.” Her hobbies included antiquing, crafting, and she was a phenomenal cook! She also was an amazing seamstress. She enjoyed the beach, traveling, seafood, and spending time with family.
She is survived by her three children, Raisa Montes De Oca (Frank), Rolando Rojas (Esther), Sandy Johnson (Jay); her 6 grandchildren, Amanda Gonzalez, Tony Johnson, Andy Johnson, Alex Johnson, Addison Johnson and Eric Rojas; and her 3 great-grandchildren, Arielle Marcell, Aubre Johnson & Zander Johnson.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday September 29th at 11AM at Cheyenne Hills Church with a reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to Iglesia Bautista Emmanuel 3222 Bent Ave, Cheyenne WY 82001 or St Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
