Roque Jacinto Raya, 73, of Cheyenne, passed at his home surrounded by his loving family on August 17, 2021. He was born on August 14, 1948, Gering, Nebraska to Jacinto and Edna Raya.
Roque was a Sgt in the US Army, Conductor for Santa Fe Burlington Northern. He enjoyed boxing, his grandchildren visiting him, spending the holidays with his family, and loved dancing.
He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Patsy Raya; children, Paul Lopez (Cory) of Cheyenne, Angela Vallejos of Lakewood, Colorado, Nadine Latham (James) of Cheyenne, Roque Raya II of Cheyenne, Jenal Salas (Orlando) of Joshua, Texas; brothers, Bob of Texas, Fred of California, Michael and Frank of Cheyenne; sisters, Lupe of Colorado, Stella, Delphine, and Rita of Cheyenne, Cathy Wells of Missouri, 24 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Roque was preceded in death by his parents, Jacinto and Edna Raya; brothers, Eddie and John Raya; and a great-grandchild, Daniel Guy Gomez, Jr.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 28th at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel. Reception to follow service at St. Joseph’s Parish Hall, 603 House Ave.
